
Our busiest season is more than half way done! Here’s what’s been going on in our coastal market.
It’s been a bustling month for new listings on the Sunshine Coast with a full crop of beautiful homes in all price ranges and descriptions. Inventory has finally reached pre-pandemic levels once again with a total of 611 active listings from Langdale to Pender Harbour.
That’s great news for buyers out there and means that sellers will want to pay close attention to comparable sales when looking to stand out from competing listings.

What can we expect moving forward?
As inventory reaches its annual peak in late July/ early August, expect to see motivated sellers adjust prices to reflect their needs and timelines. Buyers who have been waiting on the sidelines may be moved by good value on some properties that otherwise have sat quiet.
Although not typical, we are still seeing multiple offers and quick competitive conditions on certain listings. Buyers will want to ensure that they are checking in with their lenders and agents frequently to stay current.

Join Me In Supporting the
50 Women for SCCS Campaign
I am very proud to be acting as Co-Chair, along with Sue Anne Linde & Sue Jackel, for
SCCS’s 50 Women Campaign in an effort to raise funds for their Building Together Project, a development that will offer 35 safe, secure & affordable housing units for women & children experiencing violence.

For many on the Coast, poverty is a reality. But the vast majority of homelessness isn’t visible on the streets, it’s hidden within our community: 59% of children living with single parents on the Coast are living below the poverty line—that’s 1,100 children and their families, struggling every day.
Our campaign will create 35 safe, secure, and affordable housing units (the top four floors of the new 6-storey building) for single women, and women with children, who have experienced, or are vulnerable to experiencing violence. By providing a stable and nurturing environment, these housing units not only reduce stress, but also empower women to reestablish their lives and take control of their futures.
