As the year winds down on the Coast, I’ve been thinking about how many wonderful people I’ve had the chance to work with.
It’s been a very busy year and support means so much. It allowed me to stay deeply involved in our community this year & I was thrilled to sponsor many local events on the coast including the Dad & Me Dance, Pride on the Coast, the Pottery Prowl, a youth soccer team, Market’s Neighbourhood Nights at the Gibsons Public Market and to volunteer with the Elves Club.
Being able to give back in these ways is one of my favourite parts of this work and you were responsible for that!
Also a big thanks to everyone who entered the Big Old Holiday Giveway – this year’s package was fantastic! And last, if you need some Gibsons Gift Ideas, don’t forget to check out my Local Gift Guide in this newsletter.
2025 Almost Done!
I’m also feeling optimistic about the year ahead.
Early signs point to a stronger market in 2026 than we’ve seen in the past few years. Pent-up demand and stabilizing interest rates should help reduce some of the backlog, and I’m expecting a busy spring. If you’re considering a move and want to take advantage of the momentum, now is a great time to connect and start making a plan.
Detached homes sales were up slighty in 2025 vs 2024 but other categories (townhomes, condos, mobile & land) saw a small decrease from the previous year.
I’ll be putting together a full round up in the new year letter once we’ve gotten our final numbers.
Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and happy start to the new year!
