The total detached inventory hit a 10 year high in June with a total of 541 homes listed for sale across BC’s Sunshine Coast; a number we haven’t seen since August 2015!
This increase in competition means sellers need to pull out all the stops to get noticed in this market. What you can do:
- Prep your home. Start with a good deep clean. keep the garden and outdoor areas (especially entrances) as welcoming as possible and edit those belongings in the house.
- Pricing & timing are key. Work closely with your agent to establish your ideal timeline for selling and understand the price you need to list at to make that plan a reality.
- Be as flexible on showing times as possible. This can be a challenge in the summer with visitors and vacations but getting as many folks through as possible is the best way to ensure your home is given the attention it deserves.
